Gaelic Loar (Gael) is a BIG, lovely male and he gets it from both sides of his pedigree...Mom, Connemara, is one of our larger females, and sire, Loar, is a larger male as well. Gael weighed well over 20 lbs. at birth and has not slowed down. He was over 50 lbs. at 2 1/2 months old and over 80 lbs. at 5 months!!
Gael's genetics are outstanding! Mom is a PureSuri Madiba daughter and champion sire, Loar, is the son of White Shadow. Check out Loar's impressive EPD's..still in the top 5% in 5 categories at 10 years old! And Gael looks just like his dad did as a juvie!! These genetics are a great combination!
**June/July 2021 Update**
Gael had his first fleece shorn on June 4th. WOW is it beautiful! He was getting matted, so not able to be sent to the summer fleece shows, but his fleece is gorgeous. Check out the pre-shear picture just added to his profile...the density is there, the sheets of locks are well developed, and the luster (harder to see in the photo) is very nice!

What a difference a year makes!!! Gael continues to impress us with his fleece growth! Lots of independent locking, corkscrew curls and fantastic DENSITY! His family tree is packed with great genetics and great fiber! He is a well-grown yearling and has really "grown into his body" over the past year. Looking very good heading into the spring!! Sure hope we can get him back in the ring for another look this year!! We think he is pretty special!!

**November 2022--GREAT NEWS!!*
Gaelic Loar was awarded a blue ribbon AND Reserve Color Champion at the Buckeye Fall Fest!! We were really excited to get this guy back into the show ring this year. Judge Arturo Pena appreciated his luster and lock style, density and overall conformation. We are very proud of this boy!!
While he didn't exactly "shine" as a juvie, we had faith that he would continue to develop, based on what we were seeing in his regrowth after shearing and as his body continued to develop....and we were right!!
**Feb 2023**
Gael really surprised us at the Carolina Alpaca Celebration when he brought home the COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP!!! The judge loved his shining luster, density and overall uniformity of locks on his well-grown and correct frame. Gael continues to impress us and we are very proud of him!!!
**March 2023**
Gael had a great show at the Eastern Alpaca Jamboree in Harrisburg, PA! 4 blues, 1 red and Walking Fleece Champion for the Empire Alpaca Show!!! Well done, Gael!!!
Gael has now started his breeding career in 2023. We have one pregnancy underway for next fall.... Can't wait to see his first cria in 2024!!!
