AOA# 36039739 | DOB: 10/7/2020
Sire: WRSR Peruvian Kamikaze
| 36039739 | Beige, Medium Fawn, Dark Silver Grey |
What a herdsire. Kamikaze is a beautiful lustrous fancy. His fleece has density and luster. He has an easy going personality to boot. We are in love with his unusual coloring.
Kamikaze has a laid back personality and is very friendly with people and other alpacas.
Our first Kamikaze cria is a fancy. He has silver grey ears and face. Bay black & dark brown in his blanket. One white leg, just like Kamikaze. We cannot wait to see the others we are due to have this year!
Update 2017 - Newest appy cria- Bomber. Very hard to get pictures to see his coloring. His dam is also an appy. If you breed for multi's or appy's, Kaz is the breeding male you want.
Dam: Marauder's September StormLovely vicuna-like coloring!
Marauder's September Storm
Suri Open (Female) Medium Fawn
AOA# 32434255 DOB: 9/19/201114 yrs
Stormy is a big, beautiful girl with unique vicuna-like coloring. She is very alert to everything and definately the boss of the herd, keeping everybody "in line" and sounding the alarm when needed. Luckily we have our LGD's to help her out now, so she can get back to doing what she does best...keeping everybody in line. Stormy is another easy keeper, likes treats and is generally a low maintenance girl. She likes to walk near us in the pasture and always greets us at the gate...ready to eat ...

Zephyr was named for the westerly wind which was blowing on that day....He looks JUST LIKE his momma! Check out Zephyr's new fleece photo from Jan 31, 2021. His density and luster are outstanding!! My goodness...this is making us reconsider our breeding options for Stormy in the coming year..... ____________ July 2021--Stormy has been bred to Kolaqua's Chief for her 2022 cria! Chief has an outstanding pedigree and grey in his lineage. Stormy also carries grey in her lineage. This should be a very beautiful and lustrous cria...color will be fun to anticipate too! *July 2022 UPDATE* Stormy has produced ANOTHER mini-me.. a look-a-like cria of herself!! This little one is very upright and bright with a curious personality! She is a petite little "Ray of Sunshine" and super cute!

Congratulations to Ray and Lisa Revard of Elk Creek Alpacas on your purchase of Zephyr!
I know you will love his fun personality as much as we do! His color is still changing as a yearling and it will be fun to see what color he finally decides to be! Lots of opportunity with this guy as your future herdsire!!

*March 2021 update*
Zephyr has been in a coat for most of the winter due to his fall birthdate and smaller size, so imagine my surprise when I removed it last week and saw what was REALLY underneath.....
This boy is absolutely amazing!! In the past month his fleece development has just exploded! He has wrinkles galore and his fleece is as cool and greasy as it gets. You really have to see it and feel it to appreciate just how nice he is. His DENSITY and lock structure is fantastic and the LUSTER--Oh my gosh!!!!! I feel he has one of the top fleeces produced on our farm so far. We are expecting great things from Zephyr--he is going to be a spectacular male!! Check out his new pics!

With a dam named September Storm, Zephyr gets his name from the warm, westerly wind that was blowing on the day he was born. Very fitting!
Zephyr was our last cria of 2020 and # 7 male out of 8 crias for the year! Although we were sort of hoping for a female with this one, we are loving this little male!!! He is a mini-me of his momma and oh so independent. We actually had to pen he and mom, Stormy, together for several days in the beginning, because they both wanted to go their separate ways. He was eating hay and attempting to eat grain at 2 weeks old. No slowing this guy down...he is ready to be a grown up!
Zephyr's sire, Kamikaze, is a multicolored fancy male with a great show career behind him. Kaz, as he is affectionately referred to, is a multiple blue ribbon winner. He is also a proven producer of multi-colored offspring and especially greys!
Zephyr's dam, Stormy, is a 2012 PAOBA blue ribbon girl out of WRSR Mercury Rising's Marauder--a full Peruvian, rose grey- a rare combination! Marauder started out fawn with lighter vicuna type markings, which was apparently passed on to Stormy. Stormy has grey genetics in her background and has produced a grey cria in the past. Perhaps Zephyr will follow suit and pass on grey as well!
While his parents may be virtually unknown at this point in time, don't be fooled; these are two hidden gems and they have produced a masterpiece!
We think this combination of genetics is looking spectacular so far! Zephyr has developed beautiful fawn fleece that is fine, dense and lustrous. Both parents are ribbon winners--he could be too!
