SilverKnight is just what we were looking for! He is a nicely grown male with beautiful fleece! As we expand the genetic base within our herd, a nice grey herdsire is important for us to have. This guy has a black spot on one side and a few black spots on his legs, so he MAY be able to contribute multi or pattern genetics to our breeding program--a BONUS for us!!
SilverKnight's sire, Midknight Rider, has consistently produced beautiful beige, multi and grey offspring and this gorgeous boy is more from that same mold. His dam, Isabella, is a lovely medium silver gray female. This is a great combination of genetics and colors!
SilverKnight has gorgeous fleece with white tipping..a fading gene, we were told by his previous owners. He has good luster and staple length and if he holds true to form....this genetic line shows increasing density at up to 3 years of age. We are very excited about the future potential of this male in our breeding program.
**FEB 2025 UPDATE**
We plan to use SilverKnight for breeding in the spring of 2025, but then he will be available to move on to a new home. We just have too many males on the farm and it is time to share!! He is a beautiful boy and we want him to go to a fabulous new home. His fleece is still fairly fine, with flatter locks, as a 4 year old male and it will be a dream to spin, if that is your passion! This is a difficult decision for us, because we love this guy. We are sure you will love him too!!
