Barbara, farm name Babs, is the product of two very well-known lineages and a very classy young female. She is one of the last Durango crias to be born here in the states, as Durango now resides in Australia. The 7-time champion has passed along many of his phenomenal traits to this lovely female--excellent lock formation, luster, suri phenotype and upright stature....and she's as sweet as can be. Although she was never shown, her quality is outstanding. My schedule did not allow time for showing this amazing female, during her yearling year. She is a top shelf female with very fine pencil locks, abundance of fleece pearling on her neck and lots of luster.
Her fleece was shown at the Suri Symposium and placed second which is an award she so deserved! Her fleece is amazing to this day... Beautiful luster and locks.
Babs gave birth to her first cria on 7/13/15. Lady Gaga of Barron Hill, a beautiful white female, who was sold to Weaving Dreams Alpaca farm.
She is currently open and ready to add to your breeding program to continue her career as foundation female at your farm. She has it all and will be a great asset to any breeding program.

Just by chance, we got the opportunity to add this lovely female with rare genetics to our program, and we are very interested to find out what she will do with our herdsires!! We think she could do well with just about any one of them! We can breed for white or color with equal enthusiasm, as we are certain we are going to love the outcome!!
While doing a little research on the offspring of Durango, I discovered some exciting information! Babs is one of Durango's 2 remaining, actively breeding, females in the US!! (The other being Aretha Franklin, who now also resides at Honey Maple Farms!!) She is also THE LAST female offspring of Durango born in the US!! We feel so very fortunate to have the opportunity to preserve these genetics for future generations!!
