Sakari may look just like another white female, but her production record is impeccable, producing multiple champions and our 2010 MAPACA Judge's Choice winner, WRSR Accoyo Allegiance's Avanti. She has proven that she is a top foundation dam, with the ability to produce color, fineness, density, and great conformation. She has great mothering skills, gets bred quickly and delivers easily, and has remained very healthy for the years she has been on our farm. Sakari has all the key traits we are trying to breed into our herd. Sakari's sire is LCA Accoyo Kotzebue, who's sire Accoyo Starbuck arrived in the 1st or 2nd Accoyo import. Kotzebue was known for his lock, high luster, and fabulous density. Fox Run's Divinity, her dam, exhibits a feather-soft handle and beautiful luster to her fleece. Her conformation, substance and coverage are exceptional, and she possesses the wedge-shaped "typey" bearded suri head and dense topknot so sought after in today's suri market. Divinity's dam was the powerhouse producer Peruvian Mindy May, and her sire is the magnificent pinto herdsire Masked Bandit Jax. 2015 was Sakari's 9th shearing, and she continues to produce over 6-7 lbs of fleece with over 3 lb blankets each year. Her fleece is still fine with notably good luster. Sakari will produce color when bred to color, and white when bred to white. The exception was Avanti, who is light fawn, sired by Accoyo Allegiance, who is white. Sakari is truly a proven foundation female that is wonderful to have in any herd. Sakari was bred to 12X champion SBS Crown Prince for a June 2016 cria. She produced a beautiful light fawn female, Gianna, that has the same fleece characteristics as her son, the Judge's Choice champion, WRSR Accoyo Allegiance's Avanti, aka "Avanti". Gianna was Reserve Champion at the 2017 Buckeye Show, and Reserve Champion at the 2017 MAPACA Jubilee Show. To top it off, she is the 2017 AOA National Fleece Show Fawn Color Champion! She was next bred to 6X champion PIVAL Son's Revelation (Revie) who is co-owned with Arcona Alpacas, for a May 2018 cria. Revie is the 2012 AOBA National Champion, who's Sire is the one and only PIVALS' BLAZEN SON, one of the most decorated Suris in the country and his Dam, ACCOYO MARTHA, who was totally undefeated in the show ring. Lazaro by Lexus (a.k.a Studly) is an excellent herdsire, and we are thrilled to have him here at Honey Maple Farms/ICONIC Suri Alpacas! He has excellent EPD's and has produced some stunningly beautiful crias! Wonderful dispositions, dense and lustrous fleece-- you can't go wrong with Lazaro! He had top 1% EPDs in 3 categories 2 years in a row and is still holding strong in the Top 2-5 %. He is a conformationally correct male with good substance of bone and still exhibiting great density and luster at over 8 years old!! We have both male and female crias from Lazaro, and we absolutely love them! We are seeing fine, dense fleeces with amazing independent locks and LUSTER, on his offspring. Their regrowth after their first shearing has been impressive, and keeps getting better with time! Also important to us--Lazaro's crias have a wonderful, easy-going temperament! You can't always find that combination--great fleece, conformation AND personality!! We were excited to enter one of his first crias (Masada) in 3 fleece shows in 2020. Her fleece showed very well against some great competition! She earned 2 advanced fleece awards for scores over 80 points, which is fantastic! She has gone on to be a great foundation female for us. The genetics of Lazaro are just what we were looking for to bring our fleece production to the next level. As newer owners in the alpaca industry, we were fortunate to have such a great herdsire to start off with, and even more fortunate to be able to use Lazaro with confidence on a wide range of females. He is knocking it out of the park everytime! BIOPSY results: Density 62.8 S/P 12:1 Spread 6.7....very nice!!!! Check out his histogram and EPD! Also check out his Dam's histogram and EPD at age 12!!! Crown Royale line crossed with Kahuna line. Perfection!! We also now have Lazaro's son, Best of Luxe, working in our herd....and he is producing more of the same... Like father, like son!! AND soon we hope to get another AMAZING son, Jairus, started in production. His fleece is out of this world! We are expecting 2 crias from Lazaro, crossed with new bloodlines (Accoyo Kaden,) in late summer 2026. The wait is too much!!

We are excited to welcome Gianna to our herd!
She is a beautiful, uniform light fawn with very dense locking throughout her body. Each lock is heavy and dense, reminiscent of her sire SBS Crown Prince. She also has lovely fineness from her dam, Sakari, who has produced multiple fine fleece champions. Gianna's fleece has a very soft, buttery touch, and excellent luster throughout!

Her 2017 histogram yielded a 17.8 AFD, 4.69 SD, and 26.55 CV....not too bad for her first fleece!

We decided to do a little something we don't usually do, and bred Gianna to our amazing herdsire, Lazaro by Lexus!! Both are carrying Crown Royale genetics, but it is far enough removed that I was willing to chance it. I CANNOT wait to see what these two can produce together!!!
